Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing detailed proposals to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, extensive knowledge of construction estimating software, and a background in project management. Duties: - Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects - Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates - Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, TEKLA EPM, or similar tools to perform takeoffs and calculate costs - Research and analyze historical data to determine costs of materials, labor, and equipment - Prepare detailed proposals for clients that outline the scope of work, timeline, and cost breakdown - Review contracts and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make adjustments as necessary to ensure cost control - Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and other construction documents - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
